ABOUT US

 

Association of Research-Based Medicine Producers in Bosnia and Herzegovina brings together 12 innovative pharmaceutical companies operating across the country.

Established in late 2013, the Association is a voluntary, independent, non-partisan, non-governmental, and non-profit organization, founded in accordance with the Law on Associations and Foundations of BiH.

The primary objectives of the Association are to advocate for and encourage all relevant stakeholders in Bosnia and Herzegovina’s healthcare and pharmaceutical market to foster a favorable economic, administrative, and political environment, and to establish stronger, more efficient partnerships with state institutions and relevant ministries.

 

Mission and Vision

The mission of the Association is to promote collaboration among all stakeholders in the pharmaceutical sector of Bosnia and Herzegovina, with the aim of creating an enabling environment that allows the innovative pharmaceutical industry to address the growing healthcare needs of the population, with a focus on patient welfare.

The vision of the Association is a high-quality healthcare system that is financially sustainable, while ensuring fast and transparent access to the most advanced medicines and safest treatment options for both patients and healthcare professionals.

Code of Conduct

At its session held on 9 September 2016, the Assembly of the Association of Research-Based Medicine Producers in Bosnia and Herzegovina adopted the Code of Conduct for Innovative Pharmaceutical Manufacturers.

By adopting this Code, the Association aims to establish clear and transparent rules and procedures that all members must follow when promoting pharmaceutical products to healthcare professionals. The Code ensures that promotion is carried out in a professional and ethical manner, supporting transparency and accountability among healthcare professionals, with the ultimate goal of achieving rational pharmacotherapy and delivering high-quality, patient-centered healthcare in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

UIPL General Assembly has once again harmonized the Code of Conduct with the relevant provisions of the EFPIA Code of Conduct on the session held on 30 March 2023.
